Don't Forget to Include This in Your Communications Strategy Planning

Updated January 2022

As the world shifts, so should your business.

So what can't you forget to include in your communications strategy planning?

Mobile.

You cannot leave out mobile.

"Digital branding is a business’ identity, visibility and credibility among advocates who discover, relate to and interact with the business online." - Juntae DeLane

Keyword: online.

There are also valuable data that can be incredibly beneficial to keep in mind as you learn to adapt your business and brand in today's day in age (according to Bank My Cell, Statista, and Data Reportal).

  • Mobile: The number of smartphone users in the world today is 6.648 billion, which translates to 83.96% of the world's population owning a smartphone.

  • Internet: Global internet users have climbed to 4.95 billion at the start of 2022, with internet penetration now standing at 62.5 percent of the world's total population.

  • Social Media: There are now 4.62 billion social media users around the world, representing growth of more than 10 percent (424 million new users) since this time last year.

Mobile devices have taken over the means of communications, so make sure that you can be found and interacted with.

“The mobile device has become our communications hub, our diary, our entertainment portal, our primary source of media consumption, our wallet and our gateway to real-time information tailored to our needs. The revolution is now!” - Nihal Mehta

Wendy Clark, former Senior Vice President at Coca Cola and now Global CEO at Dentsu International says:

“If your plans don’t include mobile, your plans are not finished.”
